WWII Emergency Water Supply tank and associated building, north of Ramsgate Harbour, visible on military aerial photographs from 1941.

The rectangular EWS tank measure 30m by 24m and the adjacent building 4.5m by 4m. They are situated around 5m apart.

These features are first visible, and have been mapped from, a run of photographs taken in December 1941 [1]. The next series of photographs covering the area taken in April 1946 [2] show that the EWS tank has been filled in whereas the adjacent building still exists in April 1960, but is gone by June 1980 [3].

A transcription of the features recorded from aerial photography exists within a GIS layer held by this HER [4].
