Rectangular structure, probably a Second World War pillbox, is located south of Joss Bay, North Foreland. It is associated with the other coastal defences that are present along this coastline, including a length of barbed wire (MWX43012). The structure has been mapped from military aerial photographs taken in May 1942 [1], but is first visible in the photographs from January 1941 [2]. There is no evidence of the structure on photographs taken in April 1946.

A transcription of the features recorded from aerial photography exists within a GIS layer held by this HER [3].
