A tram tunnel at the southern end of Craylands Gorge was noted during a walkover survey of the area undertaken in 2004. This is approximately 36m in length while the arch is 4m wide and 6m high. It has been bored through chalk, an east-west causeway of which has been left to accommodate a footpath, before sections or panels of cement have been used to line the interior. Both external faces are also lined with cement and on the southern one remains of fittings for a possible telegraph system are visible. There are iron gates at the north end and the interior is covered in graffiti. (1)
