Summary

A watching brief was undertaken on trenches for a major new water pipeline for Dover, one of the areas affected was the crossing of the river dour at the northern end of Mill Lane, where a 3m deep trench was cut. A brick built sewer and associated contexts which were Victorian in date were located. (Location accurate to the nearest 2m based on available information).
