This feature is recorded in the English Heritage report on the Second World War Stop Line in the Hoo Peninsula. The report states: "A Second World War Type 24 pillbox on the northern edge of Cliffe Woods to the west of the anti-tank ditch. Condition: The pillbox was visible on aerial photographs up to 1961 but was removed before 1992. Sub-surface remains may survive." (1)
