Summary

The former site of the Dover Pilot watchtower. Originally a timber construction built in the early 19th century which was demolished during construction of the railway to the South Pier in 1844. This was replaced by a stone tower at the landward end of the pier in 1844. The replacement was demolished in 1913 when the railway was widened.
