Type: Loose courtyard with working agricultural buildings on three sides
Farmhouse: Farmhouse detached in central position
Position: Hamlet
Survivial: Altered - partial loss of original form (less than 50%)
New sheds: Large modern sheds built beside the historic farmstead, the farmstead could still be in use

This feature is recorded in the English Heritage Historic Area Assessment for Cliffe Parish. The report states: "Outlying farmsteads, such as Rye Street Farm to the east, which preserves a 1570s barn, were probably estanlished in this period through a process of amalgamation of smaller tenant farms…Rye Street Farm to the east of Cliffe village preserves what may be a medieval barn." NB - the barn is recorded separately on the HER.(3)
