Six fragments of bag-shaped or shouldered bowls of Windmill Hill ware in Deal Castle Museum were found in a small pit in G Deene's brickearth pit in Mill Road, Deal, in 1908. A `Neolithic finds' symbol is shown over a long disused brickearth pit, now allotment gardens, in Park Avenue, Deal, on a 2 1/2": 1 mile Distribution Map compiled by Dunning and the late W.P.D Stebbing, in Deal Castle Museum. (See also TR 35 SE 35 and 58). The pit, centred at TR 37135216, was formerly worked by Denne's of Deal. (1)
