[TR 32 41 - sited to place name only] Medieval jug, Dover. Mr J. Dawe of Folkestone Road, Dover found a large piece of a medieval jug lying on the surface of a ploughed field near Cane Wood, Dover. He lent the fragment ot the Dover Archaeological Group. The jug, which has a funnel spout, is made of a grey-black paste with a red- brown sandy surface. The rim is everted and there are wheel marks on the outer surface. It is possibly thirteenth century in date.(1)
