Summary

A medieval salt mound is located in Monkton Marshes just to the south of Abbots Wall. A similar monument is located some 400m to the south, and these features are though to be part of a number of monuments associated with saltworking in the Wantsum Channel at Chislet (see TR 26 NW 29).
