No further information was gained on these finds. The general area indicated (centred TR 227364) has been completely developed many years. (2)

A note from Thomas Wright was communicated to a meeting of the Society of Antiquaries on 4th December 1851. It said that various fragments of Roman pottery had been found in Folkestone, much of which represented the waste products from tile manufacture. It was suggested that a Roman brick-kiln may have existed in the area of the greatest concentration of these finds. (3)
