Cropmarks visible in a 1990 aerial photograph appear to show a rectilinear enclosure consisting of a rectangle with rounded corners within a double ditched rectangular enclosure with right-angled corners. These appear to be overlain by a trackway delineated by roughly parallel ditches.

The inner enclosure is 120m x 90m whilst the double-ditched enclosure is 180m north to south. The eastern boundary is not clearly visible but the enclosure may be 150m across. The trackway is roughly 8m across and is visible for a c.280m stretch. It appears to cut the enclosure ditches.

The 2008 cropmarks are somewhat suggestive of a Roman villa.

In 2018 Google Earth aerial photographs, the outline of a building measuring 15m x 5m is clearly visible in the centre of the cropmarks noted in 2008, at 604504 148857. (1)
