Grade II listed building. Main construction periods 1800 to 1832 19th century wall and gate to Chiddingstone Castle. The gatehouse is located on the east and on the south side. The buttressed garden wall curves away to the south west, to a Gothic stone orangery.

2. Early Cl9 gateway with square stone piers with ornamental carved and moulded stone "Gothic" abaci. supporting screen walls on either side of local ashlar stonework with moulded coping. Ornamental cast and wrought iron gates with monogram above. Nos 1 to 4 (consec), No 6, The Castle Inn and the Gate to Chiddingstone Castle form a group. Listing NGR: TQ5003645162 (1)

[Sited to TQ 4985 4514 from H.H.R. map] Wall and Entrance Gate to Chiddingstone Castle (TQ 44 NE 8), Grade II,High Street (south side). Early 19th century gateway with supporting screen walls on either side. (For full description see list.) (1) Chiddingstone Castle gatehouse, situated on the east and on the south side. The best feature of the castle is the buttressed garden wall curving away to the south west, to a Gothic stone orangery. (2)
