The following building shall be added to the list: TQ 77 NW CLIFFE CHURCH STREET
1/87 No. 185 GV II
House. C18 altered C20. Red brick in Flemish band on rendered plinth. Hipped old tiled roof. 2 storeys; 4 windows. C20 sashes. ground floor has to left hand side a cambered opening with wooden slats, probably originally a butchers premises, and a later C19 shopfront with 2- brackets. Early C19 doorcase with pediment and brackets and 8 panelled door. Above is a blank containing Sun fire plaque with the number 326276.

This feature is recorded in the English Heritage Historic Area Assessment for Cliffe Parish. The report states: "The 18th century a period of seemingly renewed affluence for much of the Peninsula, is also comparatively well represented by a number of red-brick, two-storeyed buildings: No 185 Church Street with 19th century shopfront…" (2)
