TQ 746 628 Delce Tower. (1)

In 1994 a summary of a desk based assessment for the widening of the M2 at Junctions 1-4, made reference to Delce Tower. Brick tower built in 1810. Thought to be part of Napoleonic defenses of the time. It is cited located is south of Blue Bell Hill on the embankment beside the slip road on the A229. No sign of it could be found during a rapid walkover survey, it is thought it may have been destroyed during recent road construction. (2)

It does appear to be present on any of the 1st - 4th edition OS maps.
