Description from record TQ 84 NE 10:
[TQ 8980 4721] Link House [NAT] (1) Link House is an example of a Kentish yeoman's hall house. It is a 15th century, timber framed and close studded building, with plaster infilling now colour-washed pink. The roof is steeply pitched, hippedand tiled, and there is a brick chimney breast on the north wall. 1. 5272 EGERTON LINK ROAD Link House TQ 84 NE 9/28 17.9.52 II* 2. This is one of the best and most well known examples of a Kentish yeoman's hall-house of Wealden pattern. C15 timber-framed and close-studded building with plaster infilling now colourwashed. The first floor of the end window bays oversails on the protruding ends of the floor joists and brackets. The eaves between overhang on curved braces and a central bracket. Steeply-pitched hipped tiled roof. Casement windows with diamond-shaped or small square leaded panes. Nearly central bay containing a window of 6 lights on ground and first floors, the ground floor one having 2 tiers of lights with wooden mullions and transoms. Pointed wooden doorway. Brick chimney breast on north wall. Listing NGR: TQ8976847207 (5)
