A cement works was formerly located at Whitewall Creek near Tower Hill, Frindsbury. It was established in c.1862 and became the Formby Cement works in 1881. The site closed in 1907 after running out of quarrying resources.

A works on Whitewall Creek nr Tower Hill, Frindsbury were established by Fromby Bros. c1862, becoming Formby's Cement works Co. in 1881. The site ran out of quarrying resources and, after a time bringing it in by barge from Halling, closed in 1907.(1)
