Large deep chalk pit on south side of Chalk Pit Lane nr Bansole with a single lime kiln built before 1872 and in existance until at least 1908. ID from OS 1st-3d ed maps (1872, 1898, 1908) The pit has been landscaped for gardens, possibly removing standing evidence of the kiln (1)
