Summary

A probable workshop of 19th century date has been identified to rear of 13 Tuftan Street, Ashford. This monument is not marked on the 1st edition Ordnance Survey map of c.1861. The two storey red brick building has 3 windows on its Tufton Street gable end and a loading door above. Two rows of 6 windows with original frames face onto churchyard and a roof ridge vent is in evidence. The site is at present disused but was most likely once a workshop of somekind.

Workshop to rear of 13 Tuftan Street, Ashford. Not marked on OS (1868) but of C19 date. Two storey red brick building with 3 windows on Tufton Street gable end (rebuilt) and loading door above. Two rows of 6 windows with original frames face onto churchyard. Roof ridge vent in evidence. Presently disused, original function uncertain but prob. light workshop of somekind.(1)
