Summary
A disused nineteenth century pumping station is located in Halling. It was built in the late 19th century by the Mid-Kent Water Company. The site included a former Steam engine house as well as an adjoining boiler house although this no longer survives. There are also the remains of two workshop ranges, and attendent's house and what is probably a later pump house. Marked on the Ordanance Survey 2nd edition map (c.1891-1898) as the 'Mid Kent Water Works'.
