Pair of disused pits either side of the road at Highfield farm. That on the N. formerly had two lime likns and a lime burners cottage, all now destroyed. On the S. side an extant kiln has been filled and concreted over in farm yard but draw arch visible in shed below. (1) The two kilns on the north side were shown on the 1908 OS map, but not the other one (2)
