Summary

Large brick built malting houses are located at the roadside on the outskirts of Brabourne village. The structures are timber built with brick nogging and remaining are the stumps of twin integral kilns at one end. The buildings, which most likely date to the 17th century, have now been converted to residential housing and are listed.

Large brick built maltings at roadside on outskirts of Brabourne village. No details given (1) Timber with brick nogging, stumps of twin integral kilns at one end. Poss of c17 date? (2) A former maltings dating from the 17th century, now converted to housing, situated on the outskirts of Brabourne Village. It is a Listed Building that may have been owned by W. Andrews & Bros. of Brabourne from at least 1867 to 1874.(3)
