Summary

A Neolithic flint axe was previously found at 'Hillcroft', London Road, Pembury. The artefact was found in a rough-trimmed state, and was c.10cm long and 6cm in width. Thought to be held on display at Tunbridge Wells Museum.

On exhibition in Tunbridge Wells Museum is a Ne flint axe, found at 'Hillcroft', London Road, Pembury. In a rough-trimmed state, it is 4 inches long, 2 1/2 inches broad. The Curator, Mrs. Bradley, could offer no further information. Unpublished. No acc. number. (1) The present occupiers of 'Hillcroft' know nothing of this find. They have been resident there for 4 1/2 years. The previous occupiers, Hawkins, have left the district and their present place of residence is unknown. Find sited to 'Hillcroft' property at TQ 61674110. (2)
