Several slit trenches (at least 12) were cut into the top of the counterscarp bank of the Citadel Battery. Most of them are small, on average 2.5m long, 0.8m wide and 0.6m deep. Two long examples guard the western end. All are probably of First or Second World War date. (location accurate to the nearest 1m based on available information)
