An unfinished Ne. flint axe, 5" long, was found on the 6th April 1964 on the Roseholme Estate, Lower Fant Road, Maidstone, by Masters Richard Budnikas and David Leichauer of 43 and 47 Upper Fant Road, respectively, who have presented it to Maidstone Museum. They indicated the exact findspot at TQ 7487 5496 and stated that the implement had been turned up by a bulldozer immediately prior to discovery, from previously undisturbed ground. (1)
