A small stretch of Second World War anti-aircraft ditch is visible on aerial photographs of 1941 as an earthwork to the east of St Marys Bay. This feature was mapped from aerial photographs as part of the South East RCZAS NMP project.

The ditch is centred at TR 0875 2827, and measures approximately 25m long SSW to NNE. The ditch is flanked on either side by mounds which are presumably the spoil from the ditch. By the time of the vertical aerial photographs of 2007; the anti-aircraft landing obstruction ditch is not visible either as an earthwork or a cropmark (1).
