Summary

During extensive rescue excavations undertaken across Dover’s Town centre by Kent Archaeological Rescue Unit a culvert was located in the south east corner of the CLBR fort at the Battle of Britain Homes Site in 1971. It carried water from both the sewer and the associated drains which collected water within the interior of the fort, through the south east corner of the fort and into an external outlet channel.
