A lifeboat house, located on the coast at Dungeness, is only visible on the Epoch 2 (1899) edition of the historic 1:2500 Ordnance Survey mapping [1], and measures 10m by 3.4m.
This structure is not visible on the later Epoch 3 (1908) map [2]. It is possible that this lifeboat house was replaced by another such feature to the north (MWX44061) that was only visible on the Epoch 3 mapping [2].
The structure associated with the lifeboat house has been given a monument polygon during historic mapping enhancement as part of Phase 1 of the South East Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey.
