A wharf at Conyer Creek was marked on the 2nd and 3rd editions of the Ordnance Survey (surveyed 1893-7 and 1905-10) . In 2005 no wharf was present and the site was occupied by a large sluice.

Wharf, Conyer Creek, on 2nd and 3rd ed OS (1,2). Not a wharf, or at least no wharf survives here. There is a large, metal and concrete sluice in this position, for draining the Tonge marshes, maintained by the Environment Agency. (3)
