HER Number:TQ 77 SE 1030
Type of record:Monument
Name:Pillbox, Cockham Reach, Hoo St. Werburgh

Summary

Thought to be a record created for a Pillbox that never actually existed. Improvement of grid reference obtained from Global positioning system device during a 2004 survey. The presence of a number of pillboxes along Cockham Reach and Upnor Reach may have led to the creation of an extra record for a pillbox with an inaccurate position. The pillbox in this position was observed to be lying at an angle, though its structure was still intact.
