One of a group of many salt-working mounds on the Neatscourt/Cheyney Marshes one of which was badly mutilated by the cutting of the new Kingsferry Bridge road. Published 25' survey revised.

[for salt-working on Sheppey see TQ 97 SW 6] (1) (TQ 92437075) Saltworks (NR) (site of) (NAT) (TQ 92887075) Saltworks (NR) (site of) (NAT) (2). Eight salterns were located and planned in 1992. Extensive platform and ditch and drain systems associated with some of the mounds were also noted.
