Excavations in advance of the Channel Tunnel Rail Link in 2002-3 identified a number of Romano-British property boundaries west of the Ebbsfleet. This is termed 'Property 6'. The property was aligned on the branch road that ran north from Watling Street and lay between the road and the Ebbsfleet. It contained a rectangular building that had two phases and was aligned on the branch road. It was c. 5m x 12m in size and was evidenced by post holes and a chalk floor. Immediately south of the building was a gravel yard. A second structure may have been built of chalk and flint and formed the southern boundary of the property. In the north of the property spreads of gravel may indicate other structures and there were also a number of pits that produced material from the 1st to mid-2nd century date.(1)

Location accurate to 2m based on available information.
