During works associated with the A20 road and sewer scheme, fragmentary remains of post medieval cellar walling was located on the eastern side of Bench Street, Dover. These buildings would have pre dated the widening of Bench Street in 1836/37. Some of the building material uncovered included 17th century Dutch bricks (1).
