Vertical Datum: LAT 12-JAN-1988 Three areas of wooden pile stumps protruding from foreshore and which could prove hazardous to small craft, observed 04- AUG-1986. They lie roughly parallel to and about 50m off foreshore along a length of about 400m. (1). Site identified during 2002 survey and comprises extensive remains of linear wooden piles indicating former groynes\defenses protecting Dagnam saltings. The presence of irregular stone blocks strewn along foreshore attest to previous defences (2) and site photographs (3).
