Archaeological excavations undertaken at the former site of Centurion House off Bench Street, Dover, undertaken by Kent Archaeological Rescue Unit in 1974 revealed a number of features dating to both the post medieval and Medieval period including Medieval occupation deposits (location accurate to the nearest 20m based on available information).
