This feature is recorded in the English Heritage Historic Area Assessment for St Mary Hoo Parish. Egypt Marsh Farm or Egypt Marshes Farm, St Mary Hoo Parish - the exact location of this marshland farmstead is unknown, however, it is reported to have been part merged with Ross's Farm MKE83431. The nearby Egypt Bay in the parish may be a possible location. The report states: "Isolated farmsteads were established on the low-lying marshland, such as Egypt Marshes Farm, Lowlands Farm and Swigshole Farm, along with shepherds or 'lookers' cottages…During the 19th century Egypt Marsh Farm was merged with part of Ross Farm [MKE83431]".
