During the East Kent Access Route excavations (2009 - 2011) an iron age drip gully and second gully were found towards the southern end of zone 3.

The dip gully measured c. 6m in diameter and a was shallow (c. 0.12m).

The drip gully appears to be associated with other contemporary later Iron Age - early Roman features at the southern end of the Ebbsfleet Peninsula and suggests low level agricultural activity on the at this time. (1-2)
