A Tomson & Wotton/Fremlins/Whitbread inn.
This small inn is situated in a very pleasant square off Military Road, sometimes called Alma Square. Probably dates from the mid 19th century.
The earliest Directory entry I could find was in 1865 when Mr R South was innkeeper.
It appears to be a popular inn. Quite close to the offices of Canterbury City Council.
