In 2008 Canterbury Archaeological Trust carried out an evaluation. A late Roman cremation burial accompanied by three vessels was found. The assemblage dates to the late 3rd or 4th century and is significanct as the latest Roman burial discovered in Canterbury at the time. (1,2)
