In 2008 Canterbury Archaeological Trust carried out an evaluation and a watching brief. Roman industrial activity and metalled surfaces were found. (1)
In 2009 a susequent watching brief confirmed the findings of the 2008 evaluation regarding the location of the Roman street, which is comparable to that of a number of other small Roman streets running between the Roman road at St Dunstan’s Street and Watling Street. The small streets apparently formed part of a suburb to Roman Canterbury. (2)
