A post mill built in 1776 to replace an earlier mill which is seen on maps of 1596 and 1610. This mill continued as a flour mill until 1897, from when it milled mainly hog feed. The mill ceased work in 1924, and was demolished on the 5th of February 1925 (1). It can be seen on the first edition of the Ordnance Survey 25 inch map (2-3).
