TR 335675. Located to the nearest fifty metres. Cropmarks of an enclosure. Site no. 117. (1) Cropmarks showing a large system of rectangular enclosures appearing in cereals. 'Although these cropmarks probably show enclosures', it must be borne in mind that a wind pump stood here and the markings may show the signs of reservoir banks (see also TR 36 NW 83). (2)

Cropmarks of a probable medieval settlement enclosure complex is visible on aerial photographs : NMR 2134/1094 26-APR-1983. This is one of a series of similar enclosures which extend over 540m NE from this site, probably aligned along a long-lost trackway. The site appears as a cluster of rectilinear ditched enclosures, the largest of which measures c.60m x 78m and has traces of sub-divisions and two large internal dark maculae representing areas of infilled depressions of later quarrying.This site was mapped as part of the Historic England Thanet Landscape Mapping Project 2024.(3)
