TR 28226679. The cropmarks of a three sided rectilinear enclosure located to the east of St. Nicholas roundabout. Idenitifed from aerial photographs. This feature may be associated with probable post medieval field boundary cropmarks to the west (see TR 26 NE 50).
Three sides of a rectilinear enclosure probably originally adjoining the same removed field boundary as TR 26 NE 50. Also a right angled feature, possibly part of a larger rectilinear enclosure. (1,2) TR 283668 located to the nearest fifty metres. Cropmakrs of enclosure. Site no 131. (3)
An enclosure and trackway forming part of a settlement of Medieval date were visible as cropmarks in NMR 962/128 09-JUL-1976 and Next Perspectives APGB Imagery 14-AUG-2003. The enclosure measures about 57.2m by 54.2m on plan.The enclosure is positioned on the south side of a trackway. Its north side forms part of the trackway, fragments of which continue to the east. The trackway is now a public footpath. These features were mapped as part of the Historic England Isle of Thanet project in 2024. (5-7)
