[TR 23885920] Wenderton Manor House (NR) (Remains of) (1) John de Wenderton is mentioned in 1390. Great Wenderton appears in 1612 and in 1736 it was owned by Mrs Corneck (a). It was extant in 1840 (c). The remains shown on the OS 25" comprising two stretches of walling, were cleared away about 1960. Recesses in the wall facing west are undoubtedly bee boules. Photographed by Mr Killick of Sidcup (b). At the edge of the field are some fragments of walling constructed of red Tudor brick taken from the site. (2)
