[TR 15255785] Site of St Mary of Queningate, medieval. (1-2) Church of St Mary Queningate, Canterbury, extant by 1166, probably gone by 1400 when the area was incorporated within Christchurch Priory, though a will of 1514 mentions the altar of "Our Lady of Queyning gate" (3a). Foundations in "Memorial" garden seen in 1919 (3a). (3) The church of St Mary Queningate, judged from the foundations discovered in 1919, was about 38 feet square. (4)
