Summary

A Romano-British burial was found in a disused sand pit to the north of Ashford near Sandhurst Farm, Kennington. The remains comprised a small globular one-handled flagon of reddish pottery. This artefact is now thought to be located in Maidstone Museum.

(TR 00514572) Romano-British Burial found. (NAT) (1) A small globular one-handled flagon of reddish pottery, in Maidstone Museum, is from a Romano-British burial found on Sandhurst Farm, Kennington, in 1914. Information from H J Elgar. (2) This flagon is probably in store amongst pieces of unknown provenance. (3) The site falls in a long disused sand-pit. (4)
