The Old Vicarage
II
House, originally hall house. C16 framed structure, altered in C17 and Cl9. Rough-cast elevations to timber-frame with plain tiled roof, the ridge stepped to right of centre and taller to right. 2 storeys; 2- 1 window front, C19 casements to left, glazing bar sashes to right. Half-glazed and panelled door with flat projecting hood resting on 2 wooden posts to right of central window. Remains of collar-purlin roof with crown-post. Interior: Moulded crown-post in collar-purlin roof; smoke blackened timbers. Introduced stacks. Upper and lower ends seem to be missing. Upper end framed 1675-1750, lower and early-mid C19.

Formerly open 2-bay hall and lower end of medieval house. This was extendwed and altered in the late medieval period. There were further alterations in the 16th century. (2)
