[TQ 90196477] Roman urns found A.D. 1870-80 [R]. (1) [Sited on Map A, No.11.] Roman sepulchral urns and an amphora were discovered in the fields to the rear of the White Hart Inn, Milton. [TQ 90366468]. (2) The area is now laid out as a recreation ground but has formerly been partly worked for brickearth. The only siting evidence appears to be George Payne's small scale map (1 1/8 miles: 1 inch). (3)
