TQ 8870 or TQ 8871; Abundant pottery and evidence suggestive of its manufacture was observed in the mid - late 19th century on Chetney Marsh (a)(b). Probable pottery kiln(s) in vicinity, now destroyed.(1-3) Site identified during 2002 survey and comprises courseware, animal bone and bricketage indicate saltworking site, rather than pottery production (4).
