GV II
Farmhouse. C15 or early C16, with late C16 or early C17 alterations and late C18 facade. Timber framed. Front elevation red and grey brick in Flemish bond. Plain tile roof. Open hall of two timber-framed bays. Cross-wing to left, flush with front elevation and possibly projecting slightly to rear. Storeyed end bay to right of hall, with timber-framed rear addition. 2 storeys. Left cross-wing has higher eaves than hall and similar ridge, with roof hipped to front. Main range roof hipped to right. Projecting brick stack to left side of wing, and brick stack in front slope of roof to left end of left hall bay. Small C19 stack to left of right end bay. Irregular fenestration of 4 windows; one pair of four-pane sashes with central mullion to front of left cross-wing, one small single-light casement to left end of hall, one small two-light through dormer with hipped roof to right hall bay, and small two-light casement to right end bay. Segmental heads to ground-floor windows. Ribbed door with segmental head to left end of hall. Timber-framed rear return wing to right, faced with red and grey brick in English bond. Part of first floor of rear gable end tile-hung. Ridge lower than that of main range, and roof hipped to rear. Two storey brick turret with lean-to roof in angle with main range. Rear lean-to to left cross-wing. Broad segmental-headed rear doorway to left end of hall. Interior: only partly inspected. Moulded and brattished right end-of-hall beam. Chamfered axial beam and joists to inserted hall floor. Roll-moulded fireplace bressumer with rose to spandrel, to left end of hall. Ceiling beams to rear right wing.

A formerly open 2-bay hall and 2-bay 2-storey lower end cross wing. The medieval upper end was replaced with wing in the 18th century. (2)
